Welcome

Hi folks,

Welcome to our class blog for our Song of Solomon unit. This is my attempt at being forward-thinking and tech-savvy.  (Yes, I know blogs have been around for years...) Think of it as a fun homework experiment.

This is where you'll find your homework assignments AND post your homework assignments for the next several weeks.  I'll be checking that you've submitted at least ONE post per assignment on time to award homework credit.  Be sure you always 1) Sign your post and 2) Submit it by the start of each class.

If you ever have issues accessing a computer or Internet, no worries; I will be distributing hard copies of each assignment in class as well as posting them here. Please get in touch with me ASAP if you are having trouble accessing the blog.  You are always welcome to bring a hard copy of your homework to class. Occasionally, I may require you to bring a hard copy to class.

In general, posts should be about a paragraph (6-8 sentences) long.  Be sure to include quotations (with page numbers) where indicated.  You may create a new thread under my daily post and/or comment on what other people have written.

As we try out this new way of doing homework, stay in touch and let me know what you think.  Song of Solomon is our last big unit of the year and it is provocative, complex, and occasionally shocking--hopefully, it will be full of rich discussion, here and in class.
